Weatherton POA Board Meeting July 16, 2025

Call to Order: 6:30pm

Location: Tropical Smoothie

Roll Call: Tammi, Dustin, Grace, Debbie, Pam

Absent: Bobbie, Sarah


OLD BUSINESS:

  • Current Account Balance: $78,000

  • POA Outstanding Dues: Still around $20,000 owed

  • Several Residents who are over $900 in past due POA dues. Looking into getting an attorney to file the liens if the multiple invoices still ignored.

  • June Expenses: Pool cleaning & service, lawn care

  • Lawn Care by the pool, part of the land is owned by the City and we need to get the City to keep their part mowed or contribute to the lawn care. Pool to tree line is POA, tree line to gravel road is City. City still owes dues for 2024 & 2025 of dues, Accountant sending invoices over to the City.

  • Pool Lock & Gate Update/Resolution: Pool will be padlocked overnight. Estimated pool closing date in October. Pool Cameras and signs will be installed at Pool $70 in cost. Pool

  • Cover: quotes in progress. Pool Resurfacing: Estimated quote around $18,000 awaiting second quote.

  • City Sewage Update: There will be a Zoom call next week, 7/22 at 6:30pm for those in the neighborhood who want to attend. Waiting on the company in Fayetteville to complete their current project and will move here next, they have been held up by the rain.

  • Sign Quotes for No Soliciting: quotes submitted for new signs to be installed.

  • Block Wall: Awaiting bloc delivery. POA finishing construction.

  • Covenant Updates: Suggestions that have been emailed in will be compiled for Covenant update.


NEW BUSINESS:

  • Back Taxes have been filed, awaiting IRS to confirm account standing. 1099 to all contractors paid over $600 for the year. Accountant to confirm any remaining needs.

  • Accountant working for e-payments next year but could possibly have a fee the homeowner will be required to pay.

  • Parking in General, if you are blocking someone’s driveway the homeowner can have your vehicle towed.

  • Fall Festival: Weatherton will be hosting a Fall Festival on October 19th, with more details to come.
